Winter at Home

If there is ever a time I become a homebody, it’s when I have a newborn in the winter. I tend to stay in and enjoy the quiet days at home. The cold weather doesn’t call out to me. Bundling up three children for outings does not appeal. I prefer to spend much of my winter at home.

I enjoy the cozy days in our home. While I love the look of snow, I don’t like being out in it! A favorite moment of mine each winter is looking out at the first few snowfalls of the year…from the warmth of my home. Our backyard is filled with trees and looking out at the snow-covered trees is just beautiful!

As the holidays approach and as the snow starts falling, we create family memories within our home. I can spend the days looking out at the snow and the evenings sitting by the tree and be happy snuggling with my newborn. 

We enjoy decorating our Christmas tree, baking cookies, and reading stacks and stacks of our favorite winter and Christmas books.
