When you want a change in a specific area of your life, sometimes it’s better to focus on smaller actions and habits. Your small daily action can result in a habit that can grow with time. Once a habit is set in stone, it’s much easier to do every single day. You may wonder why this one action used to be so hard!
Focusing on mini goals or creating smaller habits can be the way to make bigger changes in your life.
A few years ago I wanted to become a morning person and get up before my daughters every morning. By forcing myself to do it for a few weeks straight, I ended up creating a habit of getting up before my girls each day. Once it was a habit, I didn’t even have to think about it every morning. It became my new normal.
The key can be in Jerry Seinfeld’s Productivity Secret: Don’t Break the Chain.
Figure out what habit you want to create and track your progress with the monthly habit tracker below.
I share an annual habit tracker each year, but know you might want to track some habits on a monthly basis instead. Here is your Free Monthly Habit Tracker Printable (or grab the brand new editable version here):

Some trackers have a weekly focus and some have a monthly focus. Some include both! Work through and try more than one printable until you find the one that works best for you. I even added a tracker specifically for tracking sleep.

Emily says
I’m sorry! At this time I do not have an editable version of this. I think there is a way to convert a PDF to an editable format? When I googled it, quite a few resources came up.
Thanks for the idea on making a legal size. I will look into doing that!

Love this idea for creating a new habit. I’m entering the empty nest season after 32 years of children at home. I’m praying for the Lord’s guidance on what I do next and this is a great time to start new intentional habits.
