Are you familiar with the popular 52-Week Money Challenge? I like the idea of the saving challenge, but I don’t feel it’s the easiest way to save. The typical 52-Week Challenge sets you up to save $1 the first week, $2 the second week, $3 the third week…until you save $52 the last week of the year. It’s a simplistic way to save an additional $1,378 in one year, but this could be a struggle in December.
The typical challenge has you save:
- $10 during the first 4 weeks of the year. Average: $2.50 per week.
- $202 during the last 4 weeks of the year. Average: $50.50 per week.
I have created a few 52-Week Money Saving Challenge printables that change up how much you save each week. Both schedules result in saving $1,378 per year, but in different ways.
The first challenge will spread the savings out throughout the year. The second challenge is the typical challenge, but in reverse (save $52 the first week, $51 the second week…until you save $1 the last week). Pick the schedule that works best for you and check back as I will be adding more printables in the future!
