It’s Summer! If you need a spot to write out your summer goals or plans, I have a printable for you! I sent a few options to my newsletter subscribers so they could vote on their favorite and this is the one they liked best! (Although I changed the title from Summer Goals to Summer Plans)

I originally couldn’t decide if I should title it Summer Goals or Summer Plans. I asked my subscribers about the term Goal vs Plans and PLANS won out! Although many who picked goals had great reasons for preferring the term goals.  I like the term GOALS for various reasons and I want to make sure I am intentional about my time….but also don’t think that summer should be a completely goal-oriented season. We need plenty of rest, relaxation, and unplanned time too!

I personally don’t schedule too many activities into our summer. I may think ahead on a few things that I want to accomplish or enjoy, but don’t like a packed schedule. This morning my kiddos and I headed out for a leisurely morning in our favorite neighborhood in the cities.

I love to be able to get up, decide what we are in the mood for, and take off to do as we please! I know that there will be more scheduled into our summer when kiddos are older, so I will enjoy the freedom while I have it!

I hope you enjoy thinking through what you want your summer to look like!  Here is a printable to help plan your summer. Summer Plans

Sorry about the term “things” in Things to Enjoy. I considered Food to Eat, Activities to Enjoy, and more…but I couldn’t figure out a phrase to include everything else. If you have a suggestion, feel free to leave it in the comments!

Freezer Meal Labels Printable

Freezer Meal Printable Labels

I made Printable Freezer Meal Labels that I want to share with you today. I also learned of a freezer stocking method I am excited to try. Read to the end!

I do not often set aside hours to stock my freezer with freezer meals. (This may change now that I see how easy MyFreezEasy makes it. 10 meals in an hour!!) Instead of one big session to stock my freezer, I am more likely to double or triple a recipe and throw the extras in the freezer for later.

When I do set aside the time to do this, I love the rewards! Picking a meal out of the freezer is the best. It’s a good day when dinner entails thawing a frozen meal and throwing it in the crock-pot. The rewards of a well-stocked freezer are real! It saves time, money, and the what-am-I-making-for-dinner headache.

Freezer Meal Printable Labels

Before you toss the meal in your freezer, you will need to label the meal. It will save you the time of needing to research the directions later. You will have all the details needed when you pull the frozen meal out at a later date.

The labels can also be used if you are giving the freezer meal to someone else as a gift. You don’t want the new mom trying to figure out what the directions are, so make sure you print these labels to tape on the freezer meal!

The labels include a place to write in

  • Recipe Name
  • Date Prepared
  • Number of Servings
  • Directions

The labels will print on an 8.5X11 sheet of paper. You can also purchase sticker paper if you don’t want to have to tape the labels on the bag or pan.

Use the Freezer Meal Labels Printable to record: Recipe Name, Date Prepared, Number of Servings and Directions. The PDF is available in two colors! I also share a resource to help you stock your freezer! 10 meals in just one hour!

If you want help figuring out what meals to make, check out MyFreezEasy. 10 meals in one hour? Sign me up!

MyFreezEasy is a membership program where members receive 8 new meal plans each month. The Premium membership gives members access to the “build your own meal plan” desktop app. This is perfect if you want to mix and match the plans and recipes.

The goal of MyFreezEasy is to help members create their own meal plans so they can make 10 – 12 meals for their freezer in less than one hour. It takes a specific type or style of recipe and meal to make that happen. Erin (of $5 dinners) has designed pre-set meal plans with that goal in mind. You will be able to get 10 meals into your freezer without spending all afternoon in the kitchen. Sounds like a good plan to me!

The premium membership includes 8 New Meal Plans Each Month (all plans include 10 meals each):

  • Traditional Plan – mix of different types of meals
  • Gluten-Free Plan – completely gluten-free including sides
  • Slow Cooker Plan – all freezer to slow cooker style
  • Clean Eats Plan – all “clean ingredients”
  • 20 Meals Plan – includes 20 meals instead of 10: mix of different types of meals
  • All Chicken Plan – all recipes use chicken breasts/chicken thighs (perfect for when chicken goes on sale!)
  • All Ground Beef Plan – all recipes use ground beef
  • All Pork Chops Plan – all recipes use pork chops or pork tenderloin

I am browsing the meal plans for this month and cannot decide which one to try. I’m deciding between the Slower Cooker Plan and the Clean Eats Plan. The recipes look tasty and the recipes and instructions put together well. The shopping list, assembly prep instructions, and meal assembly instructions are very clear.

The member area also contains a video library, a resource library and a free freezer cooking workshop.

Every day that you pull a meal out of the freezer, you will be thanking yourself for putting in the time filling your freezer. Check out MyFreezEasy!

We have enjoyed a few warm days and I love the sneak peek of spring. I am looking forward to the warmer days of spring when I can open the windows and enjoy the fresh air in my home. And plenty of sunshine! The peeks of spring weather make me want to freshen up my home. It’s motivating to get started on some spring cleaning…or in my case, I am focusing a bit more on decluttering first.

Do you feel the same way? Do you want to open your windows, enjoy the sunshine, and freshen up and simplify your home?

There is no need to blow your holiday budget on extravagant gifts, as your host will appreciate even a small gesture.

Scarf or Other Homemade Gift

If you don’t want to show up with another holiday trinket or decoration that your host may not want, consider a handmade scarf for your host. It’s both a personal and useful gift.

Don’t knit? For an extended stay, splurge on a cozy sweater from Olive + Oak.

Another idea for a handmade gift is soap. Try this recipe for milk and honey soap with lavender and oatmeal.
